World Records, a long history

FINA was founded in London 1908 and World records were first ratified in that year. The list of recognized events reached 105 by the early 1950s.
In 1908, world records under 800 m could be set in pools of any length over 25 yards and it was possible for records to be set mid-course not just at the end of the pool. This resulted in all major world records for most of the Olympic events to be set in short course pools and was in effect until 1956.

世界游泳记录——历史的长卷

1908年FINA在伦敦成立，世界游泳记录就在那年被正式载入史册。国际泳联所承认的游泳赛事在20世纪50年代达到了105项之多。

在1908年，800m以下的世界记录的创造方法是：只要运动员在泳池里游出25码，不管你游多远，都能创造一个新的记录。这种方法使得运动员们在中途就可以创造记录，而不是像今天这样触及池壁才算计时终点。这导致所有主要的作为奥运会比赛项目的世界游泳记录都是在短距离泳池中创造的。这些记录一直到1956年都是有效的。（未完，明天继续更新。。。。。。）
